Titanium Fish Spatula - Prototype
A few years back I started making titanium-headed, stainless-steel-handled fish spatulas as Father’s Day gifts for the dads and father-figures in my life. After testing them through several seasons on grills, pans, and campfires, I’m offering two of my original prototypes here — a rare chance to own the first iterations before I launch a limited Father’s Day run of the latest version.
Why these spatulas stand out
Blade material: Grade 5 titanium — light, strong, corrosion-resistant, and gentle on delicate fish. It won’t react with food and stays springy and durable through heavy use.
Handle material: 304 stainless steel for reliable strength and an industrial look that holds up to heat, moisture, and repeated cleanings.
Construction: Two stainless-steel rivets ensure a solid, permanent connection between blade and handle.
Made with care: Designed in-house, laser cut in the USA, then fit, finished, and assembled by hand. Each piece reflects small-batch craftsmanship, not mass production.
What you get with these prototypes
A functional, workshop-tested tool with real-world performance: lightweight enough for effortless flipping, sturdy enough for thicker catches and tougher jobs.
A conversation piece: the original prototypes carry the story of their creation and the practical refinements that led to the current design.
Limited availability: only two of these first prototypes are available. After they’re gone, the next chance will be a controlled Father’s Day drop of the updated model.
Perfect for
Dads, granddads, and anyone who mans the grill or skillet.
Home cooks and outdoor chefs who value materials and hand-assembly.
Collectors of well-made, limited-run kitchen tools.
If you want a durable, thoughtfully designed fish spatula with genuine provenance — one that started as a gift and proved itself in regular use — these two prototypes are a rare opportunity.
Spatula Specs:
Handle thickness: ~0.250”
Weight: ~ 8.8oz.
Overall Length: ~ 13-7/8”
Spatula Head Width: ~ 3-1/5”
Spatula Head Length: ~ 5-3/4”
